Negotiation Skills for High School Students by Former MIT Sloan Faculty
Negotiation is one of the most important real-world skills, yet it’s rarely taught in school.
Whether it’s presenting your ideas, working in a team, or asking for opportunities, your ability to negotiate shapes your outcomes.
This interactive webinar, taught by a former MIT Sloan faculty member, introduces students to the fundamentals of negotiation through practice, not just theory.
What Students will Learn & Experience:
This is not a lecture, it’s a hands-on, interactive session where students actively apply what they learn.

- Communicate ideas clearly and confidently
- Understand how to structure strong arguments
- Practice real-time listening, responding, and adapting
- Learn when to stand firm and when to compromise
Students will also:

- Learn to ask better questions that lead to real outcomes
- Experience negotiation firsthand, not just observe it
Learning Objectives:
- Distinguish between positions and interests in a disagreement
