Terms & Condition
This is a legal and binding agreement between you, the user (referred to as “user” or “you”) of the Programs, as defined below, and Big Red Education (referred to as “we”, “us” or “Big Red Education”) stating the terms that govern your use of the Platform, as defined below. The website www.thebigredgroup.com and the information, services, and other materials contained therein are provided and operated by Big Red Education. Big Red Education offers curated and specially designed online education programs and educational assistance services (“Programs”).
Please review our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and other policies available on the Platform (collectively referred to as the “Terms”) that govern the use of the Platform and Programs. By accepting these Terms in any manner or accessing the website, you consent, agree, and undertake to abide, be bound by, and adhere to the Terms and if you do not agree to these Terms, you are not entitled to avail of/use the Programs and any use thereafter shall be unauthorized.
Each Program may have a separate set of terms dealing with refunds, deferrals, payments, etc. governing such Programs, and our corporate clients may have executed separate written agreements with us, which, in the event of a conflict, will supersede these Terms to the extent of the conflicting provisions.
These Terms shall apply to Big Red Education hosted WhatsApp groups, Facebook groups, Instagram pages, Facebook pages, email/SMS/phone communications, and other social media forums hosted by Big Red Education, which shall be deemed to be part of the ‘Platform’ by reference. You acknowledge that certain parts of the Platform, as mentioned above, are provided by third-party service providers, and you agree to abide by their terms and conditions. Big Red Education shall not be responsible for any disruption of services caused by such third-party service providers.
Although you may “bookmark” a particular portion of the Platform and thereby bypass these Terms, your use of the Platform still binds you to these Terms.
We may change these Terms from time to time without prior notice. You should review this page regularly. Your continued use of the Platform and Programs after changes have been made will be taken to indicate that you have read and accepted those changes. You should not use the Platform or Programs if you are not happy with any changes to these Terms.
Big Red Education makes no representations that the Platform operates (or is legally permitted to operate) in all geographic areas, or that the Platform or information, services, or products offered through the Platform are appropriate or available for use in other locations. Accessing the Platform from territories where the Platform or any content or functionality of the Platform or its portions thereof is illegal, is expressly prohibited. If you choose to access the Platform, you agree and acknowledge that you do so on your own initiative and at your own risk and that you are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws.
User Conduct Policy
Whether you have enrolled in a Program or are simply browsing the Platform, once you have accessed the Platform or Programs, you shall be considered a ‘user’ for the purpose of these Terms. You are responsible for all your activities in connection with the use of the Platform and Programs. You hereby agree to fully comply with all applicable local, provincial, state, national and foreign laws, treaties, and regulations in connection with such use. You shall not resort to any unethical practices while using the Platform.
Without limitation, you will not post or transmit, or cause to be posted or transmitted, any communication or solicitation or other “phishing”, “pharming” or “whaling” message designed or intended to obtain password, account, personal information, confidential information or private information from any user of the Platform or any other third party whatsoever. However, if any such event does take place, Big Red Education shall not be liable for any loss of data or if the user’s device, computer system, or any other property is compromised in any manner.
You acknowledge and agree that Big Red Education has the right to report any and all such suspicious or illegal activity to the appropriate legal or police authorities without notice to you.
During your use of the Platform and Programs, you will:
not harass other users, students, attendees, support agents, or visitors;
not create an atmosphere of disharmony, hostility within student groups;
not cheat on any homework assignment or project for the Program;
not post online any secured testing materials;
notify the instructors immediately if you become aware of any other User breaching these Terms and comply with the requirements of the specific applicable code of conduct, if any, relating directly to a Program into which such user is enrolled.
User Accounts, User Registration and Delivery of Services
In order to participate in most Platform activities and to apply for a Program, you will need to fill a registration or application form. You may be prompted or required to enter additional information, including but not limited to your name and email address. Additional information may be required to confirm your identity. You understand and agree that all information provided by you is accurate, current, and complete and that you will maintain and update your information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You acknowledge that if any information provided by you is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, we reserve the right to terminate your use of the Platform and your enrolment into a Program, to the extent applicable.
Upon payment of the Program fees – in part or whole, depending on the Program – Big Red Education shall deliver the terms of use of the Program and grant you access to the Program. The invoice may be provided to you along with the email confirmation or upon request. The email confirmation shall be proof of delivery against the successful payment of fees.
Owing to certain exceptional circumstances, if Big Red Education has granted you access to a Program pending payment, and Big Red Education does not receive payments within the stipulated time periods, Big Red Education may, at its own discretion, withdraw your access to the Program without giving any prior notice.
In addition to the registration process, as part of your use of the Platform or participation in the Programs, we may obtain certain information about you and your performance in the Programs. Some of this information may be Personally Identifiable Information. We may use, maintain, and store this information to provide certain services to you now and in the future, and may share such information with our Educational Partners or third parties in conjunction with such services or for the purpose of marketing. For example, as further detailed in our Privacy Policy, we may share certain materials or information about you with third parties. Irrespective of the fact if also you have registered yourself under DND or DNC or NCPR service, you still authorize us to give you a call from us or any third party for the above-mentioned purposes till 365 days of your registration with us.
Access to the Programs is restricted to attendees or students who have specifically been granted access by Big Red Education.
Additional requirements apply to Students. As a Student, in addition to the points above, you agree that you are registering with the intent to complete the assignments, if any, that are relevant and applicable to the Platform or Programs into which you have enrolled.

National Young Authors Challenge 2.0 — Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility and Participation
1.1. The National Young Authors Challenge 2.0 (“Challenge”) is organised by Big Red Education Private Limited (“Big Red Education”) in partnership with Penguin Random House India Private Limited (“Publisher”).
1.2. The Challenge is open to students in Grades 5–12.
1.3. Participants will compete in two categories:
Junior Category: Grades 5–8
Senior Category: Grades 9–12
1.4. Where the participant is a minor, participation in the Challenge and submission of an entry must be made with the knowledge and consent of the participant’s parent or legal guardian (“Parent/Guardian”).
2. Submission Requirements
2.1. Each participant may submit an original short story written in English, subject to the applicable submission guidelines, format, word limits, deadlines, and other requirements communicated by Big Red Education for the National Young Authors Challenge 2.0.
2.2. The overarching theme of the Challenge is “The World We Inherit.” Entries should explore how characters understand, experience, question, change, protect, or pass on the world around them.
2.3. The Junior Category (Grades 5–8) will follow the theme “What If?” Stories should begin with or develop around a problem, unexpected situation, discovery, adventure, mystery, secret, fear, or other circumstance that drives the character’s journey.
2.4. The Senior Category (Grades 9–12) will follow the theme “At the Crossroads.” Stories should explore a situation in which a character faces an important or unexpected circumstance involving a personal, emotional, moral, social, technological, environmental, or other meaningful crossroads.
2.5. Each submission must:
Be an original work of fiction written in English;
Be previously unpublished and not submitted for publication elsewhere;
Be written entirely by the student;
Be suitable for the participant’s applicable age category;
Have a clear beginning, middle, and end; and
Not exceed 700 words, excluding the title.
2.6. Entries exceeding the prescribed word limit may be disqualified.
2.7. The following will not be accepted as entries:
Poems;
Memoirs;
Fan fiction;
Scripts;
Reports;
Non-fiction pieces; or
Any other work that does not comply with the prescribed submission format.
3. Originality, Plagiarism and AI Use
3.1. Every submission must be the participant’s own original work. Participants must not submit content copied, reproduced, substantially derived, or adapted from another person or source without appropriate rights or permission.
3.2. Submissions must be created without the use of generative artificial intelligence (“AI”).
3.3. AI tools must not be used to create, draft, rewrite, translate, polish, edit, expand, improve, or otherwise substantially alter the submitted Story.
3.4. Participants may use a standard dictionary, thesaurus, or ordinary non-generative spell-checking tools, provided such tools do not generate or substantially rewrite the Story.
3.5. Parents, teachers, guardians, mentors, or any other third party may encourage the participant or discuss ideas with them but must not write, rewrite, edit, or substantially shape the submitted Story.
3.6. Big Red Education and/or the Publisher may request drafts, notes, outlines, or other supporting material from a participant for the purpose of verifying originality and authorship.
3.7. Any entry found to be plagiarised, copied, AI-generated, substantially AI-assisted, or not substantially written by the participant may be disqualified at any stage, including after shortlisting, selection, or publication.
4. Content and Conduct Guidelines
4.1. Stories must be thoughtful, respectful, and appropriate for the participant’s age category.
4.2. Participants should not submit stories containing:
Racist, sexist, ableist, discriminatory, or hateful language;
Harmful stereotypes or misrepresentation of communities, cultures, religions, genders, or disabilities;
Graphic violence, abuse, trauma, or cruelty;
Explicit sexual content;
Defamatory statements or direct accusations against real individuals, schools, companies, or organisations;
Private, confidential, or sensitive information relating to real individuals;
Song lyrics or lengthy quotations from existing works;
Characters, settings, plots, or other protected elements copied from existing books, films, games, television shows, or other copyrighted works;
Content promoting hatred, bullying, self-harm, illegal activity, or unsafe behaviour.
4.3. Sensitive themes may be explored provided they are handled with appropriate care, context, and respect.
4.4. Big Red Education and/or the Publisher reserve the right to flag, review, reject, or disqualify an entry that is considered unsuitable for the applicable age category or raises legal, ethical, copyright, reputational, or other material concerns.
5. Formatting and Submission
5.1. Entries must be submitted in Word document or PDF format, in accordance with the submission process communicated by Big Red Education.
5.2. Submissions should follow the prescribed formatting requirements:
A4 page size;
Times New Roman, Arial, or Calibri font;
12 pt font size;
1.5 line spacing;
Black text only; and
No images, illustrations, maps, or decorative formatting.
5.3. The title of the Story must appear at the top of the first page.
5.4. Participants are responsible for ensuring that their submissions comply with all applicable technical and formatting requirements before submission.
6. Selection and Judging
6.1. Submissions will be evaluated in accordance with the official judging and shortlisting criteria communicated for the National Young Authors Challenge 2.0 by Big Red Education and/or the Publisher.
6.2. Entries will be evaluated on the following criteria:
Originality of idea
Connection to the theme
Story structure and narrative flow
Characterisation
Language and expression
Creativity and imagination
Age-appropriateness
Overall impact
6.3. Entries will be evaluated within their respective age categories to ensure age-appropriate judging.
6.4. The judging and shortlisting process may involve authors, editors, and/or other publishing professionals associated with the Publisher, as determined by Big Red Education and/or the Publisher.
6.5. The decision of Big Red Education and/or the Publisher regarding eligibility, judging, shortlisting, selection, and publication shall be final, subject to applicable law.
7. Selection for Publication
7.1. Selected entries may be included in one or more anthologies or other publications, the title(s) of which may be determined or amended by Big Red Education and/or the Publisher (“Book”).
7.2. The Top 50 stories from Grades 5–8 may be selected for publication in a dedicated Penguin Random House anthology for the Junior Category.
7.3. The Top 50 stories from Grades 9–12 may be selected for publication in a separate Penguin Random House anthology for the Senior Category.
7.4. Accordingly, up to 100 young authors may have their Stories selected for publication across the two categories.
7.5. In addition to the published authors, the Next 50 stories from each category may be showcased on the official Penguin India website, subject to the applicable selection, editorial, rights, and consent requirements.
7.6. Selection for publication or website showcase does not guarantee any particular placement, ranking, commercial success, sales, future publication opportunity, or other outcome.
7.7. Big Red Education and/or the Publisher reserve the right to make reasonable editorial decisions regarding the final selection, sequencing, presentation, formatting, editing, and publication of selected entries.
8. Copyright and Assignment of Rights
8.1. By submitting an entry to the National Young Authors Challenge 2.0, the participant and, where the participant is a minor, the Parent/Guardian acknowledge and agree that, to the extent permitted under applicable law and subject to any separate written agreement, the rights in a selected Story may be assigned to Big Red Education for the purposes and on the terms set out in these Terms & Conditions.
8.2. For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, “Story” means the literary work submitted by the participant, including its title and any accompanying material incorporated into the submission.
8.3. In respect of a selected Story, the participant and/or Parent/Guardian agree to grant or assign to Big Red Education, as applicable, the rights necessary to use, reproduce, publish, distribute, communicate to the public, adapt, translate, edit, modify, format, and otherwise exploit the Story, in whole or in part, in connection with the National Young Authors Challenge 2.0, the Book, and related promotional or educational activities.
8.4. Such rights may be exercised in print, digital, electronic, online, audio-visual, social media, marketing, promotional, and other formats or media, whether existing now or developed in the future, to the extent legally permissible and specifically covered by the applicable assignment or licence.
8.5. Big Red Education may license, sublicense, or otherwise authorise the exercise of the relevant rights by the Publisher or other authorised third parties for the publication, distribution, promotion, and exploitation of the Book and/or the National Young Authors Challenge 2.0.
9. Publication and Editorial Rights
9.1. The participant and Parent/Guardian acknowledge that a selected Story may undergo reasonable editing, proofreading, formatting, adaptation, translation, or modification for publication and presentation.
9.2. Such changes may be made to address editorial requirements, grammar, spelling, formatting, consistency, length, legal considerations, or publishing standards.
9.3. Big Red Education and/or the Publisher will have the final editorial discretion regarding the form in which a selected Story appears in the Book or other official publication.
10. No Monetary Compensation or Royalty
10.1. Participation in the National Young Authors Challenge 2.0 and selection of a Story for publication do not, unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, entitle the participant or Parent/Guardian to any prize money, royalty, licence fee, publication fee, or other monetary consideration for the publication or use of the Story.
10.2. The participant and Parent/Guardian acknowledge that the opportunity for publication and associated recognition constitute the consideration offered under the Challenge, subject to the applicable terms and any separate agreement executed with the participant/Parent/Guardian.
10.3. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or waive any right that cannot legally be excluded or waived under applicable law.
11. Moral Rights and Attribution
11.1. The participant and Parent/Guardian consent, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to the reasonable editing, adaptation, modification, translation, formatting, and other treatment of the Story required for publication or promotion.
11.2. To the extent legally permissible, the participant and Parent/Guardian agree not to object to such reasonable modifications solely on the basis of the participant’s moral rights.
11.3. The participant’s name, grade, school, photograph, biography, or other information may be used in connection with the publication and promotion of the National Young Authors Challenge 2.0 or Book only to the extent separately authorised and permitted under applicable law and the relevant consent provided by the Parent/Guardian.
12. Parent/Guardian Consent for Minor Participants
12.1. Where the participant is a minor, the Parent/Guardian represents and confirms that they are legally authorised to provide consent on behalf of the participant.
12.2. The Parent/Guardian acknowledges and accepts these Terms & Conditions on behalf of the minor participant and consents to the submission, evaluation, selection, publication, and permitted exploitation of the Story in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
12.3. Big Red Education and/or the Publisher may require a separate parental consent, rights assignment, release, or publication agreement before a selected Story is included in the Book.
13. Promotional Use
13.1. Selected Stories and excerpts from such Stories may be used for reasonable editorial, marketing, publicity, promotional, and educational purposes relating to the National Young Authors Challenge 2.0 and/or the Book, subject to the rights granted and applicable consent.
13.2. Such promotional use may include official websites, social media platforms, press materials, event materials, newsletters, advertisements, and other official communication channels of Big Red Education and/or the Publisher.
14. Penguin Writing Bootcamp
14.1. Registered participants may receive access to an exclusive 2-Day Online Writing Bootcamp led by Penguin authors and/or editors, subject to the programme terms and schedule communicated by Big Red Education and/or the Publisher.
14.2. The bootcamp may cover areas including creative storytelling, character development, plot construction, editing techniques, publishing fundamentals, and the journey from manuscript to publication.
14.3. Participation in the bootcamp does not guarantee selection, publication, ranking, or any other outcome in the National Young Authors Challenge 2.0.
15. Student Declaration
15.1. By submitting an entry, the participant confirms that:
The Story is their original work;
The Story has not previously been published or submitted elsewhere for publication;
The Story has been written entirely by the participant;
The Story has not been generated, rewritten, translated, substantially edited, or otherwise substantially assisted by generative AI;
The participant has complied with the applicable submission, content, formatting, and eligibility requirements; and
All information provided in connection with the submission is true and accurate to the best of their knowledge.
15.2. Where the participant is a minor, the Parent/Guardian acknowledges and confirms the above declarations on behalf of the participant to the extent legally permissible.
16. Finality of Decisions and Disqualification
16.1. The decision of Big Red Education and/or the Publisher regarding eligibility, judging, shortlisting, selection, editorial treatment, website showcase, and publication of entries for the National Young Authors Challenge 2.0 shall be final, subject to applicable law.
16.2. Big Red Education reserves the right to disqualify an entry where it reasonably determines that the participant has:
Violated the Challenge guidelines or these Terms & Conditions;
Submitted non-original, plagiarised, copied, or AI-generated work;
Exceeded the prescribed word limit;
Submitted work that is unsuitable for the applicable age category;
Provided false, misleading, or incomplete information; or
Otherwise acted in breach of these Terms & Conditions.
16.3. Disqualification may occur at any stage, including after shortlisting, selection, announcement, or publication, where a violation is subsequently identified.
17. Binding Effect
17.1. These Terms & Conditions shall apply to the participant and, where the participant is a minor, the consenting Parent/Guardian.
17.2. The rights, consents, permissions, and obligations relating to a selected Story shall, to the extent legally permissible, continue to apply following the conclusion of the National Young Authors Challenge 2.0.
17.3. The applicable rights and permissions shall bind the parties and their respective permitted successors, legal representatives, and assigns, subject to applicable law.
18. Acceptance of Terms
18.1. By submitting an entry to the National Young Authors Challenge 2.0, the participant and, where applicable, the Parent/Guardian confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and the official submission guidelines governing the Challenge.
18.2. Submission of an entry constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions, subject to any additional consent, rights assignment, or publication agreement that may be required for selected participants.
Global Youth Leadership Conference — Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
This is a legal and binding agreement between you, the user and/or participant (“User”, “Participant”, “you” or “your”) of the Global Youth Leadership Conference (“Conference”), and Big Red Education Private Limited (“Big Red Education”, “we”, “us” or “our”), governing your participation in the Conference and your use of the related website, registration portal, communications, materials, and services.
The Global Youth Leadership Conference is a leadership and experiential learning programme designed for high school students in Grades 8–12 and hosted by Big Red Education at the designated host venue.
Please review these Terms & Conditions, the Privacy Policy, registration information, payment and refund policies, and any other policies communicated by Big Red Education (collectively, the “Terms”). By registering for, applying to, paying for, or participating in the Conference, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
If the Participant is a minor, the Participant’s parent or legal guardian (“Parent/Guardian”) must review and accept these Terms on the Participant’s behalf.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not register for or participate in the Conference.
2. Conference Registration and Eligibility
The Global Youth Leadership Conference is intended for students of grades 8-12.
Participants must provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration and application process.
Big Red Education reserves the right to verify eligibility and may cancel or reject an application where the information provided is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or does not satisfy the eligibility requirements.
Where a Participant is a minor, registration and participation shall require the consent of a Parent/Guardian.
Registration is considered complete only upon successful submission of the required information and, where applicable, successful payment of the applicable Conference fee.
3. Conference Fees and Payment
The applicable Conference fee shall be as stated on the official Conference website, registration form, invoice, or other official communication issued by Big Red Education.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, applicable taxes, including GST, shall be payable in addition to the stated programme fee.
A Participant’s place at the Conference shall be confirmed only upon receipt of the required payment or such other confirmation as may be specified by Big Red Education.
Where payment is made in instalments or under a special arrangement, failure to make payment within the specified timeline may result in cancellation or suspension of the Participant’s registration.
Big Red Education reserves the right to release a Participant’s place if the required payment is not received within the applicable deadline.
4. Refunds, Cancellations and Deferrals
Refund, cancellation, transfer, and deferral provisions applicable to the Conference shall be governed by the specific refund or cancellation policy communicated at the time of registration.
Where a separate written agreement has been entered into between Big Red Education and a school, organisation, or other institutional partner, the terms of that agreement shall prevail to the extent of any conflict with these Terms.
Big Red Education reserves the right to consider exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis but is under no obligation to provide a refund, transfer, or deferral except as expressly provided under the applicable policy.
5. Participant Conduct and Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to maintain a respectful, inclusive, and professional environment throughout the Conference.
Participants shall:
Treat fellow participants, mentors, instructors, staff, school representatives, and other attendees with respect.
Follow all reasonable instructions issued by Big Red Education, Conference mentors, venue representatives, and authorised staff.
Participate responsibly in workshops, discussions, simulations, group activities, and other Conference activities.
Respect differing opinions, perspectives, cultures, backgrounds, and identities.
Maintain appropriate behaviour within the Conference venue and during Conference-related activities.
Use Conference facilities, equipment, and materials responsibly.
Comply with the rules and policies of the host school and Conference venue.
Participants shall not:
Harass, intimidate, threaten, bully, discriminate against, or otherwise engage in inappropriate conduct towards another person.
Engage in physical violence, abusive behaviour, or threatening conduct.
Disrupt sessions, activities, or other participants’ learning experiences.
Damage or misuse Conference or venue property.
Record, photograph, reproduce, or distribute confidential materials or restricted Conference content without permission.
Engage in plagiarism, academic dishonesty, or misrepresentation in connection with any Conference activity or submission.
Bring or use prohibited substances, weapons, or other items restricted by the host venue or applicable law.
Big Red Education reserves the right to take appropriate action, including removal from a session or the Conference, where a Participant violates these Terms or the applicable venue policies.
6. Attendance and Participation
The Conference is designed as an immersive, experiential learning experience. Participants are expected to attend the scheduled sessions and participate actively in the programme.
Participants may be required to participate in discussions, case studies, simulations, team activities, presentations, leadership challenges, and other experiential learning activities.
Big Red Education does not guarantee that a Participant will receive the intended learning outcomes where the Participant does not attend or actively participate in the Conference.
A Certificate of Completion, where applicable, may be subject to the Participant meeting the attendance and participation requirements communicated by Big Red Education.
7. Photography, Videography and Promotional Consent
By registering for and/or participating in the Global Youth Leadership Conference, you and, where applicable, your Parent/Guardian acknowledge and consent to Big Red Education photographing, filming, recording, or otherwise capturing your image, voice, likeness, and participation during the Conference and related activities.
Such photographs, videos, recordings, and other media may be used by Big Red Education for educational, promotional, marketing, publicity, archival, and communications purposes, including on:
Big Red Education’s official website;
Big Red Education’s social media platforms;
Conference social media pages;
Digital and print marketing materials;
Promotional videos and advertisements;
Newsletters, brochures, presentations, and event communications; and
Other official Big Red Education communication channels.
Where the Participant is a minor, the Parent/Guardian provides this consent on behalf of the Participant.
Big Red Education may crop, edit, reproduce, publish, distribute, or otherwise use such photographs, videos, and recordings for the purposes stated above.
No additional payment, royalty, or other compensation shall be payable to the Participant or Parent/Guardian for such permitted use.
Big Red Education will make reasonable efforts to use such media appropriately and in accordance with applicable privacy laws and its Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
All Conference materials, including presentations, workbooks, frameworks, activities, case studies, videos, documents, graphics, recordings, and other content provided by Big Red Education or its mentors are owned by or licensed to Big Red Education and/or the relevant content owners.
Such materials are provided solely for the Participant’s personal educational use.
Participants shall not reproduce, distribute, sell, commercially exploit, publicly upload, publish, modify, or otherwise use Conference materials without prior written permission from Big Red Education or the relevant rights holder.
Participants retain ownership of original work they independently create during the Conference, subject to any specific terms communicated for particular activities, competitions, projects, or submissions.
9. Confidentiality and Responsible Use of Information
Participants may be exposed to case studies, discussions, presentations, project ideas, or other information shared by mentors and fellow Participants during the Conference.
Participants agree not to disclose or commercially exploit information that is expressly identified as confidential or that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential.
Participants should also respect the privacy of fellow Participants and shall not share personal information, private conversations, or recordings of other Participants without appropriate consent.
10. Third-Party Mentors and Partners
The Conference may involve mentors, speakers, educational organisations, schools, institutions, and other third-party partners.
Big Red Education may change, replace, or modify the participation of any mentor, speaker, partner, or guest where reasonably necessary.
The involvement of any third party does not create an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship between that third party and the Participant.
11. Programme Changes
Big Red Education reserves the right to modify the Conference schedule, curriculum, activities, speakers, mentors, venue arrangements, or other programme components where reasonably necessary.
Such changes may arise due to circumstances including, but not limited to, venue requirements, mentor availability, operational requirements, safety concerns, government restrictions, or circumstances beyond Big Red Education’s reasonable control.
Where reasonably possible, Big Red Education will communicate material changes to registered Participants and/or their Parents/Guardians.
12. Health, Safety and Emergency Situations
Participants and Parents/Guardians are responsible for providing accurate information relevant to the Participant’s participation, including any information that Big Red Education reasonably requires for emergency or safeguarding purposes.
Participants must comply with all reasonable health and safety instructions issued by Big Red Education and the host venue.
In the event of an emergency, Big Red Education and/or the host venue may take reasonable steps necessary to protect the health and safety of Participants.
Where a Participant is a minor, the Parent/Guardian authorises Big Red Education and/or authorised Conference personnel to take reasonable emergency measures where immediate action is required and the Parent/Guardian cannot reasonably be reached.
13. Personal Belongings
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings brought to the Conference.
Big Red Education shall not be responsible for the loss, theft, damage, or misplacement of personal property except to the extent required by applicable law.
Participants should avoid bringing valuable or unnecessary personal items to the Conference.
14. Privacy and Personal Information
By registering for the Conference, you acknowledge that Big Red Education may collect and process personal information required to administer the Conference, communicate with Participants and Parents/Guardians, provide services, maintain records, and fulfil applicable legal and operational requirements.
Such information shall be handled in accordance with Big Red Education’s applicable Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Where Participants are minors, information may be collected and processed with the consent of the relevant Parent/Guardian, where required.
15. Certificate of Completion
Participants who satisfy the applicable attendance and participation requirements may receive a Certificate of Completion for the Global Youth Leadership Conference.
The issuance of a certificate does not constitute an academic qualification, accreditation, degree, or professional certification unless expressly stated otherwise by Big Red Education.
Big Red Education reserves the right to withhold a certificate where the Participant has not met the applicable attendance, participation, conduct, or programme requirements.
16. No Guarantee of Specific Outcomes
The Global Youth Leadership Conference is designed to develop leadership, communication, collaboration, critical thinking, decision-making, and related skills.
However, Big Red Education does not guarantee any particular academic, admissions, career, scholarship, university, professional, or other outcome as a result of participation in the Conference.
The outcomes achieved by each Participant may vary based on individual engagement, participation, prior experience, and other circumstances.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Big Red Education shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or unforeseeable losses arising from participation in the Conference.
Big Red Education shall not be responsible for disruption caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including venue-related issues, third-party service providers, transportation disruptions, natural events, government restrictions, or other force majeure events.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
18. Suspension or Termination of Participation
Big Red Education may suspend or terminate a Participant’s participation in the Conference if the Participant:
Breaches these Terms or applicable venue policies;
Engages in inappropriate, unsafe, abusive, discriminatory, or disruptive conduct;
Provides materially false or misleading information;
Damages property or poses a risk to other Participants; or
Engages in conduct that Big Red Education reasonably determines is inconsistent with the objectives or safe operation of the Conference.
Where the Participant is a minor, Big Red Education may notify the Parent/Guardian of such action.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or the applicable refund policy, termination due to a Participant’s misconduct shall not automatically entitle the Participant to a refund.
19. Changes to These Terms
Big Red Education may modify these Terms from time to time where reasonably necessary.
Updated Terms may be published on the relevant website or communicated through official Conference channels.
Continued participation in or use of the Conference after the updated Terms have been communicated shall constitute acceptance of the revised Terms, subject to applicable law.
20. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for, applying to, making payment for, or participating in the Global Youth Leadership Conference, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
Where the Participant is a minor, the Parent/Guardian confirms acceptance of these Terms on behalf of the Participant.
Global Youth Leadership Bootcamp — Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
This is a legal and binding agreement between you, the user and/or participant (“User”, “Participant”, “you” or “your”) of the Global Youth Leadership Bootcamp (“Bootcamp”), and Big Red Education Private Limited (“Big Red Education”, “we”, “us” or “our”), governing your participation in the Bootcamp and your use of the related website, registration portal, communications, materials, and services.
The Global Youth Leadership Bootcamp is a leadership and experiential learning programme designed for high school students in Grades 8–12 and hosted by Big Red Education at the designated host venue.
Please review these Terms & Conditions, the Privacy Policy, registration information, payment and refund policies, and any other policies communicated by Big Red Education (collectively, the “Terms”). By registering for, applying to, paying for, or participating in the Bootcamp, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
If the Participant is a minor, the Participant’s parent or legal guardian (“Parent/Guardian”) must review and accept these Terms on the Participant’s behalf.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not register for or participate in the Bootcamp.
2. Bootcamp Registration and Eligibility
The Global Youth Leadership Bootcamp is intended for students in Grades 8–12.
Participants must provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration and application process.
Big Red Education reserves the right to verify eligibility and may cancel or reject an application where the information provided is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or does not satisfy the eligibility requirements.
Where a Participant is a minor, registration and participation shall require the consent of a Parent/Guardian.
Registration is considered complete only upon successful submission of the required information and, where applicable, successful payment of the applicable Bootcamp fee.
3. Bootcamp Fees and Payment
The applicable Global Youth Leadership Bootcamp fee shall be as stated on the official Bootcamp website, registration form, invoice, or other official communication issued by Big Red Education.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, applicable taxes, including GST, shall be payable in addition to the stated programme fee.
A Participant’s place at the Bootcamp shall be confirmed only upon receipt of the required payment or such other confirmation as may be specified by Big Red Education.
Where payment is made in instalments or under a special arrangement, failure to make payment within the specified timeline may result in cancellation or suspension of the Participant’s registration.
Big Red Education reserves the right to release a Participant’s place if the required payment is not received within the applicable deadline.
4. Refunds, Cancellations and Deferrals
Refund, cancellation, transfer, and deferral provisions applicable to the Global Youth Leadership Bootcamp shall be governed by the specific refund or cancellation policy communicated at the time of registration.
Where a separate written agreement has been entered into between Big Red Education and a school, organisation, or other institutional partner, the terms of that agreement shall prevail to the extent of any conflict with these Terms.
Big Red Education reserves the right to consider exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis but is under no obligation to provide a refund, transfer, or deferral except as expressly provided under the applicable policy.
5. Participant Conduct and Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to maintain a respectful, inclusive, and professional environment throughout the Global Youth Leadership Bootcamp.
Participants shall:
Treat fellow participants, mentors, instructors, staff, school representatives, and other attendees with respect.
Follow all reasonable instructions issued by Big Red Education, Bootcamp mentors, venue representatives, and authorised staff.
Participate responsibly in workshops, discussions, simulations, group activities, and other Bootcamp activities.
Respect differing opinions, perspectives, cultures, backgrounds, and identities.
Maintain appropriate behaviour within the Bootcamp venue and during Bootcamp-related activities.
Use Bootcamp facilities, equipment, and materials responsibly.
Comply with the rules and policies of the host school and Bootcamp venue.
Participants shall not:
Harass, intimidate, threaten, bully, discriminate against, or otherwise engage in inappropriate conduct towards another person.
Engage in physical violence, abusive behaviour, or threatening conduct.
Disrupt sessions, activities, or other participants’ learning experiences.
Damage or misuse Bootcamp or venue property.
Record, photograph, reproduce, or distribute confidential materials or restricted Bootcamp content without permission.
Engage in plagiarism, academic dishonesty, or misrepresentation in connection with any Bootcamp activity, project, or submission.
Bring or use prohibited substances, weapons, or other items restricted by the host venue or applicable law.
Big Red Education reserves the right to take appropriate action, including removal from a session or the Bootcamp, where a Participant violates these Terms or the applicable venue policies.
6. Attendance and Participation
The Global Youth Leadership Bootcamp is designed as an immersive, experiential learning experience. Participants are expected to attend the scheduled sessions and participate actively throughout the programme.
Participants may be required to participate in discussions, case studies, leadership simulations, team activities, presentations, problem-solving challenges, negotiations, reflection exercises, and other experiential learning activities.
Big Red Education does not guarantee that a Participant will receive the intended learning outcomes where the Participant does not attend or actively participate in the Bootcamp.
A Certificate of Completion, where applicable, may be subject to the Participant meeting the attendance and participation requirements communicated by Big Red Education.
7. Photography, Videography and Promotional Consent
By registering for and/or participating in the Global Youth Leadership Bootcamp, you and, where applicable, your Parent/Guardian acknowledge and consent to Big Red Education photographing, filming, recording, or otherwise capturing your image, voice, likeness, and participation during the Bootcamp and related activities.
Such photographs, videos, recordings, and other media may be used by Big Red Education for educational, promotional, marketing, publicity, archival, and communications purposes, including on:
Big Red Education’s official website;
Big Red Education’s social media platforms;
Bootcamp social media pages;
Digital and print marketing materials;
Promotional videos and advertisements;
Newsletters, brochures, presentations, and event communications; and
Other official Big Red Education communication channels.
Where the Participant is a minor, the Parent/Guardian provides this consent on behalf of the Participant.
Big Red Education may crop, edit, reproduce, publish, distribute, or otherwise use such photographs, videos, and recordings for the purposes stated above.
No additional payment, royalty, or other compensation shall be payable to the Participant or Parent/Guardian for such permitted use.
Big Red Education will make reasonable efforts to use such media appropriately and in accordance with applicable privacy laws and its Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
All Bootcamp materials, including presentations, workbooks, frameworks, activities, case studies, videos, documents, graphics, recordings, and other content provided by Big Red Education or its mentors are owned by or licensed to Big Red Education and/or the relevant content owners.
Such materials are provided solely for the Participant’s personal educational use.
Participants shall not reproduce, distribute, sell, commercially exploit, publicly upload, publish, modify, or otherwise use Bootcamp materials without prior written permission from Big Red Education or the relevant rights holder.
Participants retain ownership of original work they independently create during the Bootcamp, subject to any specific terms communicated for particular activities, competitions, projects, or submissions.
9. Confidentiality and Responsible Use of Information
Participants may be exposed to case studies, discussions, presentations, project ideas, or other information shared by mentors and fellow Participants during the Bootcamp.
Participants agree not to disclose or commercially exploit information that is expressly identified as confidential or that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential.
Participants should also respect the privacy of fellow Participants and shall not share personal information, private conversations, or recordings of other Participants without appropriate consent.
