About Your Speaker: Alexandra Hamilton
Co-founder & Director Scholar & Sage
Alex graduated from the University of Cambridge in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies in 2016 having won the Wing Yip prize for the highest mark in Chinese Literature. As an undergraduate, she was active in the debating scene and attended the historic Cambridge Union Debating Society. As part of her undergraduate degree, she spent a year abroad in Peking University in Beijing where she took part in Chinese poetry competitions to further flex her love of oracy. After graduating, she worked in the City of London at Goldman Sachs before returning to education to complete her postgraduate degree at Edinburgh University where she was ranked top in her year. As a Fulbright scholar, Alex has rich experience in public speaking and the art of debate and discussion. She has brought those skills to her career as she is the co-founder of Scholar & Sage, an education provider which works closely with Oxford and Cambridge University to immerse students in academically enriching and challenging programmes.
