The Global Youth Leadership Conference is guided by student mentors from the HGSE Global Education Leadership Collective (HGSE-GELC), a formally registered student organization at the Harvard Graduate School of Education dedicated to advancing global education, international leadership, and cross-cultural learning.
HGSE-GELC brings together master’s and doctoral students committed to developing future changemakers. As a leadership-focused community, it prepares emerging leaders to address global challenges, collaborate across cultures, and drive impact in education and beyond.
At the Conference, participants learn from mentors who blend academic excellence with real-world leadership experience. Their supportive, collaborative approach encourages questions, idea-sharing, and confidence-building. Rather than simply teaching, mentors work alongside students to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and leadership through interactive discussions and hands-on guidance.

About the Conference
The Global Youth Leadership Conference is a 5-day leadership conference designed for high school students in Grades 8–12. This premier five-day leadership immersion experience guided by student mentors from the HGSE Global Education Leadership Collective (HGSE-GELC), a formally registered student organization at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, offers an intensive offline program aimed at strengthening students’ leadership skills through engaging, hands-on learning.
Focused on soft skill mastery and unparalleled networking opportunities, the conference brings together motivated young learners in an environment that encourages growth, confidence, and collaboration. Participants engage in intensive sessions, interactive workshops, and experiential activities that challenge, inspire, and shape them into the leaders of tomorrow.
